​16th December 2012 - Foxcote Manor signs off for 2012.
 
7822 made her final appearance of 2012 in the hands of Mal Lees and Martin Fuller. The engine was immaculately turned out and ran to time all day, during December 7822 will have carried around 1200 children to Lapland completing a perfect performance on the Santa Specials in 2012.
​
The society will now take the manor back into the shed for scheduled repairs and she will likely return in the spring. All progress will be reported here. Please get in touch with your 7822 pictures from 2012!

15th December 2012 - 7822 on Lapland duty again.
 
​Foxy was out in fine form on Saturday in the hands of FMS secretary Graham Hoyland and with trainee driver Pumphrey and cleaner Vanstone. The engine was in fine fettle, emphasized by a spirited departure from Glyndyfrdwy on the return leg of the days final trip, please see the gallery for photos.

14th December 2012 - Calling all society members!
 
The manor will soon be going into the shed to have her tender wheel sets machined and have various odd jobs done. Obviously this will be an excellent opportunity to get her looking spotless for 2013.  It is likely to be during the first week of January but exact dates will be posted here.

9th December 2012​ - 7822 on Heart.fm
 
On Sunday 9th December, the Heart radio girls visited Llangollen and had photos taken next to our beloved engine, 7822 member and dedicated volunteer Mike Watts found himself a subject of the paparazzi lens and the pictures can be seen in our gallery section.

​8th December 2012 - 7822 on Lapland duty.
 
Foxcote Manor worked 2 round trips at Llangollen hauling a few hundred passengers all with the hope of seeing Santa on board the train. ​​
​
​Foxcote Manor secretary Graham Hoyland was today's driver along with Llangollen Railway fireman Tony Peet who changed a broken lubricator glass with impressive efficiency less than ten minutes before departure. The Manor sounded in fine fettle and will be back out again on Sunday in the hands of Harry Barber and Mike Watts.​

02/12/2012​ - Foxcote Manor kicks off the festive season at Llangollen​​​​​​​​​​.
 
Foxcote Manor has had a successful weekend on the Llangollen Railway completing 6 round trips (totaling 96 miles) in two days. She ran two days of "Santa Specials" and also hauled the December Real Ale Train on Saturday night. She will be back next weekend to take another 4 trains on the return journey from Llangollen to Lapland.

19/11/2012 - Foxcote on the line from Llangollen to Lapland.......​
 
7822 will resume the role of heading the Santa Specials on the Llangollen Railway during this years festive season. It is a role she has played countless times in the last 25 years and we wish her well this year as she closes out the 62nd year of her life.

​19/11/2012​​ - TLC - Foxcote to undergo tender maintenance over the winter​​.
 
7822 will be out of traffic for a couple of weeks in the early weeks of 2013 to have work carried out on her tender wheels and brakes, during this time she will receive a boiler washout and inspection and any other odd jobs that need to be undertaken. All progress will be reported here at www.foxcotemanorsociety.co.uk.
